정리 후에는 C드라이브의 빨간색 경고가 사라졌고 컴퓨터 반응 속도도 이전보다 훨씬 안정적으로 느껴졌습니다.
외장하드 활용 방법
영상 녹화나 강의 자료를 많이 보관하는 사람이라면 외장하드는 거의 필수 장비입니다.
저 역시 녹화 영상은 가능한 한 외장하드로 이동해 보관하고 있습니다.
특히 모든 강의 녹화본이나 편집이 끝난 자료는 C드라이브에 둘 이유가 없습니다.

Anyone who works with video recordings knows the frustration of finishing a recording session only to discover that the file is missing. I recently experienced the same problem while recording an online English lesson with Ocam.
The recording seemed to finish normally. There were no obvious warning messages, and the software appeared to be functioning correctly. However, when I opened the designated folder, the video file was nowhere to be found.
At first, I suspected a software error. After some investigation, I discovered that the real culprit was much simpler: a lack of available storage space on the C drive.

The Recording Ended,
but the File Was Missing
There are few things more frustrating than losing a recording that took hours to create.
Everything appeared normal during the recording process. Ocam continued recording without interruption, and there were no signs of failure. Once the session ended, I expected the file to be waiting in the recording folder.
Instead, the folder was empty.
Naturally, I started searching through other directories and checking program settings. During that process, I noticed something important. My C drive was displaying a red warning indicator, showing that the available storage space was nearly exhausted.

The desktop was another surprise. Files that were meant to stay there for only a few days had quietly accumulated for months.

I now move completed lesson recordings and archived materials to external storage whenever possible.
There is little reason to keep large finished projects permanently on the C drive.
By transferring older files to an external drive, it becomes much easier to maintain healthy storage levels and keep Windows running efficiently.
External storage also serves as a backup system, helping protect valuable files from unexpected data loss.

When objects pile up on the floor of a house, moving around becomes difficult.
Computers behave in much the same way.
As invisible files accumulate, storage space shrinks and performance gradually declines.
A spacecraft cannot collect new scientific data if every storage container is already full. Likewise, a computer struggles when its primary drive has no room left.
The moment your C drive turns red, it is already sending a warning signal.
Regularly deleting unnecessary files and moving large data to external storage can help prevent recording failures and improve overall system stability.
